ZEAS Refrigeration Condensing Units are available for either low or medium temperature operation and can cool a couple of display cabinets to a large warehouse.
Powered by Daikin’s inverter & powerful scroll compressor, variable drive speed ensures that temperatures are correctly maintained without wasting energy and supports a wide variety of refrigeration applications.
With this new range of inverter-driven condensing units, Daikin expands its range of specified solutions with unified models for medium and low- temperature refrigeration applications.
The ZEAS condensing units are the perfect solution for applications with fluctuating loads and high energy-efficiency needs, including supermarkets, blast coolers and freezers, cold storage, butchers, bakeries, restaurants and petrol station retail outlets.
Their compact footprint and low sound emissions allow installation in virtually any available place.
Multi ZEAS: by coupling two 15 HP or 20 HP single units, users can now reach double capacity and thus larger applications using the same pipe work, saving on copper piping and installation time.

ZEAS refrigeration condensing units installation in shop
Adrian Bonfield says: “We were also able to assure the owner that the ZEAS system would not disturb the neighbours, an important consideration because the shop is close to residential properties. The 8hp unit is rated at 57dB (A) at 1 metre or 37 dB (A) at 10 metres free field of condensing unit. “The ZEAS installation was fitted into a tight renovation programme to minimise disruption of trading and any inconvenience for customers, for whom the shop is both a focal point in the village, and a convenient source of essentials.”
Gavin Marks says: “The Daikin solution was the most attractive, and the ZEAS machines are a trim modern alternative to the usual big condensing units. The scroll compressors in each unit modulate according to demand and offer greater operating efficiencies than other options in the market.”
Nick Sheppard, project manager at Royale Refrigeration, says: “We offered the customer a choice of conventional condensing units or Daikin ZEAS units. Keen to keep his electricity costs in check, the customer opted for the significant long-term cost savings of ZEAS, despite a higher upfront cost. “From our point of view, ZEAS units are much easier to install – it’s virtually just a matter of connecting them up and switching them on.”
Mark White, Design Manager for Cold Service said: “Energy efficiency was a high priority for our client and this, coupled with the residential nature of the surrounding area, led us to specify the Daikin ZEAS system. Its small footprint meant that it how good the figures are in this particular installation. However, we were extremely happy with the performance and ease of installation. We are looking forward to analysing data was the ideal fit for the restricted outside space. “We are currently monitoring both the noise and the energy efficiency levels at the store so that we can evaluate exactly from the test results”.
