New from Hubbard Products, one the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of transport refrigeration systems, comes a groundbreaking under mount package that delivers reliability, reduced operating costs and low carbon emissions combined with high multi-drop performance.

The new Hubbard Europa’s high efficiency scroll compressor delivers a quieter, more fuel-efficient performance for accurate and stable temperature control with up to 50% fuel saving, up to 50% reduced CO2 emissions and up to 50% reduced refrigeration primary carbon footprint. The fuel and emissions saving Europa consumes just 1.5 – 2 litres of fuel per hour.

Due to the fact the Europa is under mounted, more space is available than with nose mount refrigeration systems, therefore a better balance of components can be provided, delivering higher reliability and longer working life with less maintenance.

One such benefit is that the condenser is fitted with an extra-large coil making it ultra high efficiency.

The low level installation of the Europa under mount system delivers optimum compliance with health and safety legislation, eradicating the risk of falls, whilst also allowing engineers to access the unit for repairs and maintenance without having to scale the vehicle.

Hubbard understands that low noise levels for urban deliveries is a key consideration, and the Europa under mount can offer just 54db @ 10m - a sector best! This is as a direct result of the spaciousness of the under body location, which allows for oversize fans, extra casing and the use of noise absorption materials. The sealed box approach also allows the generator set to be pressurised, limiting dirt ingress.

The Europa’s digital controller is user friendly, featuring illuminated display and simple to operate keys. The pre-programmed temperature selector switch ensures simple, foolproof operation.

6 kW of standby performance is available and effective defrost is provided by a hot gas cycle. The Europa is built from ultra-lightweight automotive specification frames and has plastic fuel tanks for added safety.
