International Design Engineer joins Hubbard Products

Mohammed AshwaqHubbard Products has appointed leading design engineer Mohammed Ashwaq, B.Tech Hons. to the product design and development team at its Otley, Ipswich, Headquarters.

Mr. Ashwaq, 26, joins Hubbard from GE Appliances - Mahindra Satyam India Design Centre in Hyderabad, where he worked his way up from Design Engineering Intern on leaving University to become CAD team leader Refrigeration, with responsibility for Product Cost Take Out (PCTO) projects.

Educated at one of India's leading and most innovative technological universities, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Mr. Ashwaq, is an American Society of Quality certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) specialising in leading problem-solving projects and training and coaching project teams.

Mr. Ashwaq joins Hubbard at an exciting time for the company following the highly successful launch at the beginning of the year of the UK's only Energy Technology Product Listed (ETPL) air cooled packaged condensing unit which has revolutionised the retail refrigeration sector.

Pat Maughan, Managing Director of Hubbard Products says: "Mohammed Ashwaq has a very impressive background in mechanical engineering, product design and development, he has already demonstrated his solid management capabilities at Hubbard and his qualifications at the very highest levels of quality control are almost unique in an engineer of his age. Mohammed will be working closely with the senior management team at Hubbard and in conjunction with our European Design Centre in Milan developing new product solutions for both the retail vehicle refrigeration and retail static refrigeration sectors". He continues; "We are entering a very exciting phase in our company's history with the development of unique new technologies and our investment in new product sectors calls for the highest levels of manufacturing excellence and design which Mohammed will be responsible for delivering as our new Research and Development Team Leader".

Mr. Ashwaq is a keen cricket fan and captained his Varsity team and is an active volunteer in the 'Teach India' program a social initiative that brings together children in need of education and people who can contribute towards teaching them.
