Commercial news Hubbard Focuses on Consumer Friendly Refrigeration Solutions at RAC 2009

The Commercial Refrigeration Division of Hubbard Products will be featuring a range of high efficiency refrigeration solutions that not only deliver energy savings for operators and therefore cost savings, but which are also designed to make the life of the general public more pleasant as well.

Hubbard which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2008 is setting its sights on developing its position as the leader in designing commercial refrigeration systems that are aware of their impact on the general public as much as the commercial and economic benefits to industrial users.

Noise pollution is becoming an ever more significant factor in all of our everyday lives, only 56% of England is classed as tranquil and since the 1960s it is estimated that England has lost 21% of its Tranquil Areas (19,000 square km), equivalent to an area almost the size of Wales. Hubbard have been developing low noise solutions for its customers over the past decade and the increasing importance to its customers of complying with noise abatement legislation whilst incorporating low energy consumption is being addressed at RAC 09.

Hubbard Products' Commercial Division are featuring a selection of low noise and energy efficient refrigeration products alongside its award winning Econ-O-Mate® and Econ-O-Pack® heat recovery modules. Products available for viewing on stand E10 will include:

Also featured on the stand and following the same theme will be various Hubbard Transport Refrigeration Units, recognising the importance of addressing the ecological, environmental and social impact of the cold chain in its entirety, from storage through pipeline fill to point of sale. Launched at the 2008, IAA - Hanover, the New Ultra-quiet Europa, undermount refrigeration systems for trailer units will be on show for the first time in the UK. With low noise levels for urban deliveries a key consideration, the Europa Undermount offers just 54db @ 10m, a sector best, as a direct result of the under body location, a sealed box and the use of noise absorption materials. The sealed box approach also allows the generator set to be pressurised, limiting dirt ingress.

The Europa system will be supported by the low noise, high efficiency Hubbard Eutectic Beam system, which utilises low cost night-time electricity to freeze silent gel filed beams to provide totally reliable cooling and freezing on box bodies of 3.5 tonne chassis and upwards removing the need for vehicle mounted noise polluting compressors, emphasising Hubbard's commitment to a holistic approach to refrigeration economy, efficiency and environmental impact. The temperature is maintained during deliveries by absorbing the heat through the Eutectic beams. This product is designed for Multi-drop deliveries, using cab mounted or undermounted mains powered condensing units.
