Commercial news Hubbard Provides Ideal Temperatures from Factory to Outlet

Hubbard, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of refrigeration and cooling systems, provides reliable, efficient and low-noise solutions throughout the supply chain, from manufacturing storage through logistics to retail.

Hubbard provides a range of cold storage solutions for all commercial requirements, with temperatures down to -25°C, ideal for even sensitive products.

Developed to meet the demands of large-scale refrigeration in manufacturing facilities, Hubbard’s housed and un-housed Multi Compressor Packs are built to the customer’s unique specification, offering complete flexibility and providing a cost-effective solution for any space.

For larger operations Hubbard offers multi compressor systems working in conjunction with airside products to ensure perfect product storage and for smaller facilities Hubbard can provide a single condensing unit with a cooler to meet the demands of the cold store or freezer cold store.

Dougie Stoddart, Commercial Director of Hubbard says, “Hubbard has experienced significant growth in its sales to refrigeration engineering contractors in the last year on the back of our acknowledged developments in energy efficiency and our ability to manufacture Multi Compressor Packs to individual specifications. We know how important it is to deliver, not only on specification, but also on time and so we work as partners with our customers ensuring that their customers are not let down and it is this that has secured us a confident order book.”

Of additional benefit, when purchasing a Multi Compressor Pack, Hubbard customers can claim full capital allowances against certain compressors for their qualifying year tax assessment through the Carbon Trust’s Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme.

Hubbard has invested significantly in reducing the environmental impact of its products since 2000 and it is now one of the major suppliers of Carbon Trust, Energy Technology Product (ETP) listed equipment.

The Hubbard range of transport refrigeration units, for panel vans, box bodies and lorries, uses environmentally friendly R404a refrigerant, with units suitable for temperatures down to -25°C to ensure that products are kept at their best whilst in transit.

Designed for delicate products such as ice cream and other frozen goods, and ideal for multi-drop deliveries, Hubbard also offers the option of Eutectic Beam Refrigeration Solutions for ultra-reliable cooling and freezing of box bodies on 7.5tonne chassis and upwards. These powerful yet quiet, patented gel filled beams utilise off peak electricity as they are frozen down overnight by the mains powered condensing unit mounted on the vehicle (either overcab or underslung). Once the beams are frozen they guarantee constant refrigeration in line with their holdover capacity.

When the vehicle is on the road the Eutectic Beams are totally silent in operation. Seven beam lengths and six condensing units mean that this flexible system can be applied to a wide variety of vehicles to match journey length, working day and drop rates.

Hubbard has cornered the forecourt, convenience, supermarket and retail sectors with their established HCP and HCPS ranges of low-noise packaged condensing units, ideal for retail outlets located in residential areas.

Hubbard’s HCP units are available in Single or Twin Fan options, both offering low noise levels. An optional fan speed controller lowers noise levels even further during reduced ambient temperatures.

For ultra low noise packaged requirements a second even-lower noise version, the HCPS, incorporates Scroll Compressor technology, reducing single and twin fan condenser noise output further still when fitted with an optional Hubbard Sound Attenuation Kit.

Both the HCP and HCPS packaged unit systems offer precise temperature control with a well-earned reputation for reliability across high, medium and low temperatures, guaranteeing both performance and energy efficiency and resulting in reduced running costs. The units are available for R404a refrigerant up to a nominal 3 h.p for the HCP and up to 71/2 h.p for the HCPS.

The Hubbard HCP and HCPS units are weatherproof and can be ground, flat roof or wall mounted. Their slim design makes them ideal for situations where space is limited, and removable panels allow for easy service access.

All Hubbard products are backed up by full technical support from staff who are knowledgeable not only in the Hubbard Commercial range of products but also the industries in which they are used.
