Abbott of Otley caught after Marathon chase

Otley, Suffolk, based commercial refrigeration manufacturer Hubbard Commercial Refrigeration's Quality Control line tester Stuart Abbott is to run this year's London Marathon for the East Anglia's Childrens Hospice charity (EACH).

On Sunday April 22, 2007, 33 year old Stuart will be aiming to complete his first London Marathon and in the process raise £1000 in aid of EACH.

"I'd like to complete the course in under four hours, but the most important thing is just to finish" said Stuart. "This is my first London Marathon and it's just great to be part of such a fantastic event, mixing my own personal challenge with a good cause. The support I have received from my colleagues and the Hubbard Commercial management at Otley has been exceptional and now the pressure is on me to get round in a respectable time".

East Anglia's Childrens Hospices (EACH) supports families throughout their experience of caring for children with life-threatening or life limiting illnesses.

EACH provides a range of physical, emotional, social and spiritual support, which is offered: holistically, centred on the family, to all families in East Anglia with children with life-threatening illnesses, across a range of settings, including the home, hospice and hospital, by specialist staff, with the engagement of the community.

In 2007/08 it will cost around £4million to continue EACH's work with approximately £3.52m of this coming from voluntary donations and sponsored events.
