North of England catering food supplier chooses green refrigeration from Hubbard

Hubbard Products are pleased to announce that they have strengthened their Commercial Refrigeration division with the addition of energy-efficient Daikin Refrigeration Products and the refrigeration business team as Hubbard pave the way forward for Commercial Refrigeration within the group of companies.

Paul Cornwell and Nick May were transferred from Daikin Air Conditioning UK into Hubbard Products Ltd. This strategic decision and partnership with our parent company ensures our refrigeration expertise and products are all coordinated through Hubbard Products, strengthening our department as well as providing our customers with a wide range of refrigeration solutions.

Daikin’s innovative and unique Heat Recovery Conveni-Pack, providing retailers with genuine free heat recovered from the refrigeration cycle and ZEAS Refrigeration Condensing Units are all now available through Hubbard Products, along with Technical Support. Daikin is renowned for high efficiencies, small footprint, ultra-low noise levels, very low refrigerant leakage rates and reliability.

Paul Cornwell has considerable practical refrigeration experience as an engineer, service supervisor and in numerous management roles across service and contracting organisations. Nick May has considerable experience of the design and promotion of high-quality refrigeration products, including heat recovery and alternative technology solutions for ‘Natural refrigerant gases’ for the
convenience store sector.

Dougie Stoddart, Commercial Director - Hubbard Products explains why the two new members will add value to its Convenience Store customers, “The ability to integrate Daikin’s significant knowledge and expertise of low leakage highly efficient refrigeration equipment with Hubbard Products established Commercial Refrigeration Team will allow us to offer one of the widest ranges of Convenience Store heating and cooling solutions in a single package. The benefits of such systems go far beyond the traditional Convenience Store Refrigeration USPs of low energy usage, reduced running costs and low noise.

By combining heat recovery and air conditioning with a single refrigeration system users can benefit from reduced insurance costs, by removing the need for gas fired heating plant, through to low cost financing and support from The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund. And, this applies equally to individual ‘symbol’ group franchisees as much as it does to larger multiple retailers who can all benefit from reduced running costs and a superior carbon footprint.”
