Commercial news Hubbard sponsors Refrigeration Engineer's attack on UK Championship

Hubbard sponsored TimeAttack Car

Hubbard Products the leading innovator in commercial refrigeration technology is backing the Southwest's fastest Refrigeration Engineer, in a push to capture 2016's TimeAttack highest level.

Kevin Jones of Barnstaple's KJ Refrigeration will be driving both the coolest and the hottest car in this year's Timeattack® championship sponsored by Hubbard Products. Best known for their transport refrigeration as used by the UKs leading home delivery retailers, the innovative use of the Dearman liquid air engine and their ranges of static commercial refrigeration, Hubbard sees the racetrack as a good reflection of their own approach to design and innovation.

Kevin will be racing his Noble M12 RSR in the six-round series starting at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire on the 24th April concluding on 25th September at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk, just 40 miles away from Hubbard's new European headquarters in Ipswich.

Kevin Jones explains why Timeattack is such an important UK autosport event, "Originating in Japan; Timeattack is the purest form of motorsport. It pushes driver and machine to absolute perfection on track. Timing drivers individually on the same race track leads to faster laps and more accurate driving, in contrast to traditional racing where drivers' reactions can impact on others performance. Timeattack is the purest combination of speed, engineering skill and driver ability. He continues "The same way that we are always trying to achieve the most efficient refrigeration performance, balancing inputs with outputs Timeattack demands of the driver similar levels of attention to detail, scientific analysis and determination to do the job to the highest possible standard. All qualities that I have experienced first hand, with the Hubbard equipment that KJ Refrigeration recommends, and installs across the Southwest of England.

Kevin Jones is no newcomer to this exciting branch of high-octane motorsport, in 2014 he dominated the Timeattack rear-wheel drive category, setting new lap records for the RWD Club Challenge. In 2015, he progressed to Pro RWD, winning his class and this year he will be challenging the very top drivers in the Pro-Extreme RWD category.

His class-winning Noble has been upgraded for 2016 with a new race tuned engine, mated to a bespoke six-speed fully sequential Holinger paddle shift gearbox with Limited-Slip Differential.

The Hubbard sponsored vehicle can be seen at the following racetracks during 2016
Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire - Sunday 24th April
Pembrey Circuit, Lanelli - Sunday 22nd May
Brands Hatch, Kent - Sunday 19th June
Oulton Park Circuit, Cheshire - Saturday 9th July
Croft Circuit, Darlington - Sunday 21st August
Snetterton Circuit, Norfolk - Sunday 25th September

Timeattack is family friendly and the events often offer the general public the opportunity to take their own vehicles on to the same track as the racers - but in between events, of course. Also at the events a selection of other automobile exotica will be on show, including demonstration laps from historic Formula One cars amongst others.

For those who can't attend in person, the "flying freezer" can be tracked through live streaming on the Timeattack website and Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/UKTimeAttack/
