Box BodyHubbard produces a complete range of refrigeration systems for all types of vehicle. These include several 'Best in Class' high performance systems as well as cost effective and reliable refrigeration for applications demanding robust simplicity - such as daily hire companies. All our refrigeration systems use environmentally-friendly refrigerants.
The following systems are designed for larger vehicles and frequent drop applications:
Hubbard also offer a range of diesel drive, monobloc, split and trailer mount systems, see our Zanotti sister site.
The 480 Alpha monobloc refrigeration systems are specifically designed for the transportation of fresh or frozen produce in medium to large, suitably insulated, box bodies.
The system is driven using a compressor that is mounted within the engine compartment and belt driven from the crankshaft. The system also comes with an electric standby option so that it can be powered from main electricity when the vehicle's engine is switched off.
The 480 Alpha uses environmentally friendly R404a refrigerant and is suitable for temperatures down to -25°c.
The system is operated by the easy to use in-cab, digital controller, that is fully programmable and will provide constant temperature read-out.
The 480 Alpha comprises a combined condenser/evaporator unit with electric standby (standard on EL model, optional on L model), a compressor (with mount kit compatible to your vehicle), an in-cab digital controller and installation/operating instructions. Optional accessories available are, single or three-phase standby system 24v version and a twin compartment fan kit.

The Hubbard 520 Alpha is a split system designed to operate in medium to large truck box bodies that are suitably insulated for fresh or frozen produce transportation.
The refrigeration system is driven using a compressor that is mounted within the engine compartment and belt driven from the vehicle engine crankshaft. When the vehicle's engine is running and the thermostat calls for cooling an electro-magnetic clutch on the compressor is engaged enabling the unit to provide refrigeration. A semi-hermetic compressor powers the refrigeration system on mains standby.
The 520 Alpha uses environmentally friendly R404a refrigerant and is suitable for temperatures down to -25°c.
The system is operated by an easy to use in-cab digital controller that is fully programmable and will provide constant temperature readout. Both models have an automatic defrost but manual defrost can be initiated by push button control.
The 520 Alpha is a split system comprising of a condenser with a 20 series 3 fan evaporator, with or without electric standby, a compressor (with mount kit compatible to your vehicle), an in-cab digital controller and installation and operating instructions. Equipment options include 12v and 24v, single and three phase versions and multi temperature systems.

A range of powerful yet quiet, mains powered condensing units with a patented gel filled beam provide the ultimate in reliable transport refrigeration. Once the beams are frozen there is nothing that can cause a failure of cooling within their holdover range. The gel means that even damaged beams don't leak.
Eutectic refrigeration systems offer reliable cooling and freezing for box bodies on 3.5ton chassis and upwards. Roof or wall mounted beams are frozen down overnight by the mains powered condensing unit mounted on the vehicle (either overcab or underslung). Once the beams are frozen they guarantee constant refrigeration in line with their holdover capacity.
Once the vehicle is on the road these systems are totally silent in operation. Seven beam lengths and six condensing units mean that this flexible system can be applied to a wide variety of vehicles to match journey length / working day, drop rates etc. For close control of chill temperatures there are fan assisted beam stacks providing up to 26250 Whrs of cooling.
