Condensing Units Range
Hubbard Semi-Hermetic Condensing Units, designed for ease of installation and maintenance, are manufactured to order against customer specifications and can be produced for same day despatch.
The Hubbard SA range of Condensing Units features the latest design technology, guaranteeing both performance and energy efficiency resulting in reduced running costs.
The SA Air-cooled Range
Hubbard SA units are available for R134a, R404A & R407C refrigerant across High, Medium and Low temperature ranges. Available in 230v single phase & (400v 3 phase) up to a nominal 30 h.p.
Hubbard semi-hermetic condensing units are available in 47 different models covering a capacity range from 270 to 81000 Watts. The range utilises Frascold, Bitzer, Copeland, Bock optional semi-hermetic compressors with nominal power ratings from 0.37 to 22kW with displacements from 3.95 to 125.7m³/hr.
The range is designed to operate HFC refrigerants using ester oil.
All models are available with 3 phase compressors. Single phase compressors are available up to 2hp.
Condenser Fan Motors
All condenser fans are the external rotor type motor/blade assemblies and smooth vibration free operation, together with low levels of power input.
Single phase fans are fitted, as standard to condensing units which utilise 300, 350 or 400mm diameter fans. These motors incorporate thermal overloads. Three phase versions of these fans can be supplied to special order.
Three phase fans are fitted to condensing units which utilise 450, 500 & 630mm diameter fans. These motors incorporate thermistor protection.
All models can be supplied for 60hz operation to special order.
Hubbard Semi Hermetic Air-Cooled Range
Compressors
The semi-hermetic compressors are all suction gas cooled and are complete with service valve, high and low pressure connection points, crankcase oil level sight glass, suction strainer, oil charge and rubber compressor mounts.
Three phase electric motors are protected by thermistors controlled by INT69 modules on A-B-D-F-S models and INT69TM modules on V-Z models.
Single phase motors are protected by INT69.
Air-cooled Condensers
All condensers are high efficiency type, generously dimensioned, manufactured from copper tubes mounted on louvered aluminium fins and encased in robust steel mountings.
Fans are positioned to produce full efficiency from the coil block.

Liquid receivers
All liquid receivers are complete with outlet shut-off valve and a pressure relief valve.

The standard condensing units include:
- Semi-hermitic compressor
- Air-cooled Condenser
- Condenser Fans(s)
- HP/LP Safety Switch
- Liquid Receiver and Press Relief Valve or fusible plug
- Suction, Discharge & Liquid Service Valves
- Discharge line vibration eliminator (all models)
- Base Frame (suitable for "bolt on" housing)
- Compressor Oil Charge
Standard condensing units are supplied with ester oil. Condensing units, factory charged with mineral oil are available on request at extra cost, please contact our Commercial Sales office for advice.
